

Myanmar is among 12 countries that President Donald Trump has banned from entering the United States.
Along with Myanmar, the countries are Afghanistan, the Czech Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
President Trump signed the executive order to protect Americans from foreign terrorism and national security.
The executive order went into effect at 12:01 a.m. EDT on June 9.
The U.S. Embassy in Yangon has answered questions about what Myanmar citizens should know, what will happen to Myanmar citizens who are still waiting for their visas, what will happen to Myanmar students who are in the United States to study, and whether Myanmar citizens will still be eligible to participate in the Diversity Visa (DV) program.
